Restore Your Headlights for Safer Driving (and Improved Appearance)
If your headlights have become hazy or yellow, they’re not just affecting your car’s appearance, they’re also reducing your visibility, especially at night or in rainy and snowy conditions which can become a safety liability. But don’t worry, you don’t need to replace them! Most of the time, the problem is just on the outer surface of the lens and with our expert restoration process, we can make them look like new again.

Our Professional Headlight Restoration Process
We don’t rely on store-bought kits that provide temporary results. Instead, we use a multi-step approach with wet-sanding, polishing, and applying protective coating to restore clarity and ensure long-lasting results. Since every headlight is a little different, we customize our process to fit each job. Here’s how the process looks like:
Prep the headlights: First, we clean the headlights with a rinseless wash and then a clay bar treatment to remove surface contamination. We then tape off the surrounding paint to prevent potential damage from the sandpaper.
Time for sanding: Depending on the severity of the oxidation, we wet-sand the surface using multiple grits, ranging from 800 to 3,000. This step removes the built-up haze and smooths out the lens. You can literally see the deteriorated layer of the old clear coat come off.
Compound and polish the headlights: After sanding, we use a machine polisher to bring back the clarity and shine by first compounding the headlights and then following that up with a polish.
Apply the protection: Finally, we apply a durable ceramic coating to help maintain the results and protect against future damage. This is what helps keep the results for a longer duration of time.
This process typically takes about an hour, but it may take longer for more complex headlights or if additional work, like fog light restoration, is needed.
Need more extensive exterior detailing services? We also offer paint correction and ceramic coating services to restore and protect your car’s finish. Your car will look better than ever—even better than when you first got it!

Headlight Restoration FAQs
Can you restore heavily oxidized or yellowed headlights?
Yes! We can handle most cases of foggy or yellowed headlights. However, if the lens has deep scratches or physical damage (like cracks or chips), those won’t be fully restored..
Is restoration a better option than replacing my headlights?
For many vehicles, headlight replacement can be expensive, ranging from a couple of hundred to even thousands of dollars, depending on the make and model. Restoration is a much more cost-effective solution that improves both appearance and function without the high cost of new headlights.
How long will my headlights stay clear after restoration?
The biggest factor is sun exposure. If your car spends a lot of time parked in direct sunlight, the protective coating will break down faster. However, our ceramic coating helps extend the life of the restoration, keeping your headlights clear for as long as possible.
What tools and products do you use?
We use a combination of professional-grade sandpaper, polishing compounds, machine polishers, microfiber towels, and a ceramic coating to ensure long-lasting results.
